At Venables we are proud to have been part of National Arbor day 2008. This is all about helping to protect the National Elm Collection in the Brighton Area and many contractors give their time for free in order to achieve this. Also known as the Day Of Action, this year there were 55 arborists involved, with much of the organising being undertaken by Connick Trees. |

.......Elms thinned or reduced in a hedgerow. This is part of the strategy for protecting the Nation Elm Collection and these trees are being used as a buffer zone and test area. |

........and here we are at another site on the same day. Unfortunately, the other contractors chipper threw a bearing and left them with a pile of trees to chip - and we were more than happy to assist. |
